The final Billy Joe Saunders vs Lemieux press conference ahead of their WBO world middleweight title showdown in Canada.

The fight pits a classic puncher vs boxer-type in challenger Lemieux and champion Saunders being the more slick boxer of the two.

Saunders has never been defeated which will bring added confidence coming into the bout according to his coach.

His new coach Dominic Ingle (coach of Kell Brook) said this confidence will be an extra edge in the fight.

Saunders was vocal towards Lemieux in the final press conference – offering his challenger to put a half a million dollar personal wager on the fight if he was willing to accept.

Saunders went on to say he is in a good place mentally:

“There’s an old saying. A happy fighter is a dangerous fighter.”

He added that he is taking his training a lot more seriously these days compared to that of the past:

“I used to be excited to weigh-in just so I could eat a load of s***.”

Gary Spike O’Sullivan also fighting on the card said that although the weather was cold in Canada – expect things to get very hot in his fight come Saturday night.
