A global, mega Anthony Joshua vs Tyson Fury fight is something that all parties involved want and now one of the promoters has spoken of how he wants to do it.
Tyson Fury received the good news this week that he is free to apply for his British Boxing Board of Control license again in January and straight away he called out Anthony Joshua once he got the good news.
Following that, he also sent a “special message” to Joshua’s promoter Eddie Hearn where he was less than complimentary to the Englishman.
Speaking to IFL TV, Hearn spoke of his delight to see Fury back and how they plan on making a mega fight with him and current heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua:
“I saw his Instagram to me but I’ve got a very love hate relationship with Tyson Fury. When I see him he tends to love me. We’ve talked to MTK. We’d like to make him an offer to fight and we would like to make that lead towards the Anthony Joshua fight. Obviously if he’s with us (Matchroom) its a lot easier to make that fight. Politics wont get in the way and in the mean time we’ve got a few other heavyweights for him to fight as well – Dillian Whyte, Tony Bellew, AJ. That’s a nice little three-fight deal. Listen, he’s (Fury) a character. We’re pleased to see him back.”
A match between Joshua and Fury would easily be one of the biggest fights in world boxing given their history and star status at present.
People who don’t even follow boxing would likely tune in to watch one of those rare boxing events that reaches many outside the sport.
