Pacquiao conqueror Horn speaks straight away after defending his WBO welterweight world title today over British challenger Gary Corcoran.
Cuts in the end played a heavy part in how the fight ended in a TKO in round 11, but Horn proved to be the overall better boxer.
It did take him to find a second wind in the fight mind you, after the British challenger Corcoran proved tougher than many thought before the fight.
Speaking straight away after the win, Jeff Horn said:
“I was just getting my time. The whole fight I felt it was a little bit off tonight but I managed to clip him with a few good ones.”
Next April for a Vegas showdown with Terence Crawford is what is being lined up next. When asked about it, Horn replied:
“If that’s what everyone wants to see – that’s what’s going to happen.”
To have a world title fight on mid-week in Australia was certainly an unusual one, but Horn said he hopes more of the same happens in the future:
“I wish we could bring more fight down here (Australia).”
Crawford recently moved up to the welterweight limit and with both men sharing a promoter who has both mutual interests in both fighters, the fight should not be hard to make in theory.
