Johnny Nelson brother remarkably asked to leave the country according to the ex-world champion turned TV pundit.
Johnny Nelson will be known to modern boxing fans in the UK and Europe as being one of the leading pundits on TV in his role for Sky Sports.
But for those who are fans of the sport going a few years back, you’ll remember not long ago Nelson was the cruiserweight world champion.
And a very good one at that.
In a bizarre story regarding his brother being given short notice to leave the country of the UK, despite being totally legal and allowed to stay in the country according to Nelson, the former fighter has now appealed to the boxing world to share this message:
My 68yr old brother has been in the UK for 53yrs. He has received a letter stating he has 10days to leave or appeal. He received indefinite stay on his passport, lost in a house fire over 20 yrs ago. He’s an OAP & will have to find hundreds of £s for legal rep…RT

Nelson was linked with a comeback to the sport of boxing last year against former cruiserweight world champion Marco Huck but subsequently decided against the fight in the end.
