The former world champion weighs in on what he thinks of Khan’s appearance on “I’m A Celeb” over the last couple of weeks.

Amir Khan has been making a lot of headlines over the last week with his activities in the jungle of “I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here” but from a boxing perspective – fans are wondering when they will see the fighter back in the ring.

As of this time, the last time Amir fought was in May of 2016 in the form of a devastating defeat to Canelo Alvarez in Las Vegas.

He has suggested that he will be back in the ring early next year. Nearly two years since his last bout.

It is fair to say that boxing is one the toughest sport of them all. Because of this TV detour from his boxing career, some fans have been questioning Khan’s desire to fight again and get back in at the highest level.

Former world champion Ricky Hatton eluded to this too. Speaking to The Sun he said:

“Looking at Amir on the telly, he looks happy, almost as if he doesn’t want to fight.”

Khan has participated in a number of challenges on the show that involved coming face to face with fears such as snakes and spiders and seems to be winning over a lot of new fans at the moment.
