The popular records site has some eyebrow raising information for its welterweight rankings, it must be said.

BoxRec is arguably the best resource in the world for fighter records, hands down. A brilliant tool used by fight fans and those in the boxing game alike – everyday.

But when it comes to its ratings and rankings system, there’s been a few odd listings this year in the current weight rankings.

The all time rankings are another story – but that’s for another day.

Some might argue other aspects of the current welterweight rankings but for this writer at least, to have Errol Spence that much lower than Jeff Horn seems way off.

Particularly after coming off a huge win earlier this year where he travelled to the UK to stop the super talented and brave Kell Brook to win the IBF welterweight title.
