Deontay Wilder An Incredibly Huge Odds Underdog Against Anthony Joshua

Many will be shocked to see this if you think the fight is a two-horse, fifty-fifty race between the two champions.

Wilder recorded a 1st round blow out of Bermane Stiverne last weekend following Joshua coming through a 10 round blood and guts battle with Carlos Takam the weekend before.

Logically speaking, one might be forgiven for thinking Wilder’s odds with the bookies against Joshua would have improved following the above.

Not the case however early on as the bookmakers see it.

If the two world heavyweight champions collide in 2018 – bookmakers are putting Wilder at an 11/4 underdog just to win the fight outright (via Paddy Power and Bet Fair).

Perhaps even bigger than this however though, is both the above bookmakers have already starting taking odds on how the fight could be won by either man.

They are given a whopping 20/1 for Wilder to win on points. Pretty much giving him no chance at all against Joshua if the fight goes 12 rounds.

Joshua is 2/5 to win the fight by KO/TKO with the two above bookmakers (at the time of this article) showing bookies early on only see the fight ending one way.
