Anthony Joshua vs Joseph Parker fight negotiations are well and truly underway as competition heats up in the heavyweight division.
Everyone is vying for a piece of the Anthony Joshua pie at the moment it seems.
Deontay Wilder, Tyson Fury and Joseph Parker the three main contenders at the moment.
Joshua typically boxes twice a year but in an ideal world, if he could fight all three in 2018 boxing fans would no doubt love it.
Joshua promoter Eddie Hearn spoke of a positive initial meeting with Wilder’s representatives in New York this week but WBO heavyweight champion Joseph Parker remains a very real possibility for Joshua next up as well.
Speaking to Sky Sports, Parker’s promoter Dave Higgins said:
“Joshua is accurate – so I will make an offer. I will underwrite and promote the fight anywhere in the world to give Joshua 60 per cent profit.”
This comes off the back of some light banter and back and forth between the two fighters themselves on social media this week.
Parker last fought in Manchester in a close and disputed points win over cousin of Tyson Fury, Hughie Fury.
One would suspect that if the bout with him and Joshua happens in 2018 that you could be 90% sure it will take place in the UK.
