The Joseph Parker vs Fury weigh in results that also featured a clash of undercard fighters at the weigh in who got into it.
Both WBO heavyweight champion Joseph Parker and challenger Hughie Fury looked in tip top shape today on the scales ahead of their title clash tomorrow night in Manchester.
The Parker vs Fury weigh in results for both men were as follows:
Challenger Hughie Fury: 16 stone 10lbs / 102kg.
Champion Joseph Parker: 17 stone 7lbs / 112kg.
Mutual respect was displayed by both men as shouts from a certain Tyson Fury could clearly be heard in the background:
“Go on Hughie! Go on!”
Mutual respect was not shared by two others weighing-in today however.
Peter McDonagh and Shane Singleton on the undercard nearly came to blows after a push to the throat – that needed to be immediately broken up by security.
The chaotic moment was caught on camera by IFL TV YouTube (hat tip) as both had to be separated from totally kicking off:
Tomorrow night’s event in Manchester will be a first in boxing in that it will be a YouTube pay per view event but it is understood that a portion of the undercard will be streamed for free for the general public.
