This Golovkin Canelo video will surely crack a smile in even the most hard nosed of sceptics out there. A bit of genius editing.

It’s nearly a week on since Gennady Golovkin and Canelo Alvarez thrilled fans with an all action display in Las Vegas’ T-Mobile Arena.

A week on from a brilliant fight but a verdict that caused a lot of controversy and in particular, the way one of the judge’s scored the fight.

Alas, boxing moves on and no doubt we’ll see the rematch in the not too distant future.

However, one fan isn’t letting things go that quickly and in a lighter bit of boxing news his video editing skills have to be applauded if nothing else:

On a serious note, it is understood that both men are already negotiating their rematch with all expectations that it will take place next May at some point.

The main question will surround what will both do before then and now.

Will they each squeeze in a fight or will they risk even doing so in the first place before what inevitably will be a ginormous part two?

My instincts tell me they won’t. It will be the immediate rematch next up for both with a long, no doubt entertaining build-up after the first fight, if I were to hazard a guess.
