Roman Chocolatito Gonzalez opens up on camera for the first time since suffering a stunning knockout defeat that shocked the boxing world.

Chocolatito was widely expected to avenge the sole loss of his career this past weekend but what transpired was something quite different.

A knockout that showed no matter how good a fighter is that no one is immune from the often harsh reality of top level prizefighting.

Fans of the sport the world over were shocked as one one of the great fighters of the modern era was rendered completely out for the count.

Speaking for the first time since the defeat, Chocolatito told Artorias Boxing:

“I don’t want to think about boxing right now. I just want to rest. I did what I had to do. Also I’m not enjoying my family. My kids. They are little. They need me. I need to take that into consideration. God blessed me big time. I had money. I had the best parents I could have ever had. Thanks to God I don’t need anything now.”

If Chocolatito does call it a day and hangs up the gloves he will leave behind him a legacy in the sport as impressive as anyone in his era.

His current record stands at 46-2-38KO in a career that saw him dominate the lower weight classes for close to a decade before suffering two defeats in his last two outings.
