The Golovkin vs Canelo judges and referee for September 16th’s super fight in Las Vegas have officially been confirmed.
The clock is ticking until Saturday night’s sweet science explosion at the T-Mobile Arena in Sin City and the officials for the bout have now been selected.
Writer Keith Idec (hat tip) broke the story on Twitter a short time ago:
NSAC just announced judges 4 Canelo-Golovkin will be Adalaide Byrd, Dave Moretti & Don Trella. Referee will be Kenny Bayless #CaneloGGG

Dave Moretti stands out as the experienced name on the list of judges, while referee Kenny Bayless has also been involved in many world championship bouts over the years.
Some have suggested that the fight could be a close one that could go all the way through and last for 12 championship rounds – given the competitive nature of the fight.
If this is the case, the spotlight will be well and truly on the above names as the world of sport watches on in what is expected to be one of the biggest fights in years.
A showdown to determine who truly is the best middleweight on Earth. Just five more sleeps and boxing fans will have that answer once and for all.
