Badou Jack forces a stoppage here of Welshman Nathan Cleverly in a one sided beat down on the undercard of Mayweather vs McGregor.
Badou Jack ultimately ripped away the WBA ‘regular’ light-heavyweight title from Nathan Cleverly in five dominant rounds in Las Vegas tonight.
Cleverly started the bout out aggressive in the first round and took the opening round for most, but it was to prove to be the last round he’d win.
As the second round progressed Jack sunk in some tasty uppercuts and body shots.
Welshman Cleverly found himself more and more on the back foot in round three as Jack landed some solid jabs to his face.
Jack proceeded to work the body of Cleverly in the fourth and upped his work rate noticeably, really putting a beating on Cleverly.
The end for the Welshman was to come in the fifth round as Jack really opened up on Cleverly, who whilst on the rope was stopped by the referee:

The win tonight marks the second world title for Badou Jack in a different weight class as the 33 year old Swede continues to look better with each fight.
As a two-weight world champion big fights against the likes of Adonis Stevenson, Andre Ward or Sergey Kovalev at 175lbs could soon loom for him.
Badou Jack’s professional boxing record is now 22-1-2 (13KO) after tonight’s win.
