Floyd Mayweather security team member has stern words for Conor McGregor’s team if they try anything on fight week.
Somehow or some way two of Mayweather’s security members have made themselves a small bit of the pre-fight story line ahead of the McGregor fight after the Irishman famously branded them two:
“Juice head monkeys.”
This came after a brief hand bags altercation on the international press tour where the Mayweather and McGregor teams clashed on stage.
Nothing serious ensued, but afterwards UFC President Dana White told reporters that things were very close to going South.
Two of Mayweather’s security on the ‘Money Team’ in particular have been in front of the cameras – who go by the names of Jessie and Greg.
Speaking to Fight Hype on team McGregor going into fight week, security member Jessie warned team McGregor:
“At the end of the day I’m here for Floyd. I heard on one of the interviews that they called me a Jersey Shore reject, or Jersey Shore wannabe. Listen, lets just keep it professional and if you think you’re better than someone else just keep it inside the ring. You don’t want this to get outside the ring. Lets just keep it professional, lets just not go this way. If you’re professional just keep it inside the ring because you don’t want it outside the ring. I’m just letting ya’ll know you can call me whatever you want but at the end of the day I didn’t even know who was these guys.”
The two have come in for a lot of online trolling in recent weeks in particular, as both teams went back and forth with one another in the media.
Of course the teams will have no bearing on what happens on fight night, but don’t be surprised if some press conference antics ensure once again on fight week.
