The great Sugar Ray Leonard prediction and breakdown of the upcoming welterweight title fight between Kell Brook and Errol Spence.

Kell Brook vs Errol Spence fight fever is well and truly underway this week and the great Ray Leonard has been talking about the fight to UK media.

Sugar Ray Leonard is a man who knows a thing or two about welterweight world title fights.

A man stepped in the sport of boxing’s history for his remarkable gifts in the ring, achievements and legendary rivalries with the likes of Roberto Duran, Marvin Hagler and Thomas Hearns.

The golden era of boxing in many ways.

A new era is starting to form now in the current professional landscape and Leonard has had some high praises for some of the up and coming talent he has seen.

Speaking to Sky Sports News about Errol Spence, Ray noted:

From what I’ve seen Errol Spence is the real deal. I’ve watched this young man from day one. I’ve seen improvements in him. I’ve seen him gain experience. I think that’s why the world is excited about this fight between Kell Brook and Errol Spence Jr.”

On the fight itself, his prediction was:

“This fight is so intriguing and I love it because the winner is going to be based upon who carries out their game plan. Who doesn’t get too cute, who doesn’t get too confident. The guy who fights this fight wins this fight.”

A bit of a fence sitting prediction from the great Sugar Ray but he’s spot on really. This fight is so close it’s going to come down to who gets their gameplan implemented best on the night.

Roll on Saturday night.
