World heavyweight champion Tyson Fury allegedly tests positive for cocaine amid reports online.
Fury had recently pulled out of his upcoming rematch with Wladimir Klitschko in Manchester due to being medically unfit to box.
A recent interview with his uncle and trainer Peter Fury also revealed he has been suffering with mental health issues that he is now seeking help for.
Multiple sources online including the Independent and ESPN are reporting that Fury has now been notified that he has tested positive for cocaine and is facing the possibility of being stripped of his world title belts.
The news comes at an already difficult time for Fury, after his uncle revealed on IFL TV that his nephew’s motivation for the sport was abysmal and that he was at an all time low.
Whether or not we see Tyson Fury back in a ring again remains to be seen, I suspect we most definitely will at some point, but perhaps not for a considerable amount of time until he gets well again.
Boxing fans will hope he can get back in the ring as soon as possible and start putting in performances like this that saw him rise to the top of the heavyweight division:
NEVER FORGET WHO IS THE REAL CHAMP! Played with Klitschko like he was a journeyman! Unreal how great and underrated this man is! @peterfury pic.twitter.com/HEGenJXFhk
