As the big fight between Gennady Golovkin and Kell Brook draws nearer some notable names are in town and have given their take on Saturday night’s proceedings. One Prince Naseem Hammed is one of them.
Naseem being from Sheffield where Brook is also from, and having trained out of the same gym as Brook (The Ingle Gym) is unsurprisingly in full support of his fellow Yorkshire man.
Prince Naseem Hamed during his time in the ring became the almost marmite of British boxing, inspiring admiration and criticism in equal measures from fight fans.
But his entertaining and exciting career can never be denied in my opinion, a man who entertained boxing fans as well as any British fighter through his unorthodox explosive knockouts and famous ring entrances.
He’s never been shy for a word or two and in recent years has sporadically been seen at big fights on the British boxing circuit.
This week he’s been out in force supporting Kell Brook and in an interesting interview with Kugan Cassius of IFL TV, he gave his prediction on how he thinks the big fight will go on Saturday:
