Billy Joe Saunders Issues Statement To Both Eubank Sr and Jr

WBO middleweight champion Billy Joe Saunders issues statement as potential Eubank Jr rematch saga rumbles on.

Billy Joe Saunders is currently on the look out for an opponent for his next fight, after recent talks for a potential bout against Gabriel Rosado on the undercard of Liam Smith vs Canelo Alvarez in Texas next month, fell through.

Initially it had been thought that Billy simply wasn’t impressed with the level of opposition in Rosado, but in recent days it has also been mooted that the offer proposed to Billy for the fight was simply was too low.

Saunders has always been a man to speak his mind and following extensive back and forth exchanges with Chris Eubank Jr and his father on Twitter in recent times, he has recorded a video on social media today to clarify the situation once and for all:

Eubank Jr still officially has no opponent lined up next either, as things stand.

Although a fight with Tommy Langford for the British title looks likely considering the British Boxing Board of Control recently put the fight out to purse bids.

Eubank Jr and Saunders’ close fight a couple of years back has been building to a rematch ever since.

Inevitably, these two will surely meet in the ring some day again, given the level of animosity between the two and demand from UK fight fans for the rematch.
