Errol Spence Jr is a man being tipped to be one of the very best pound for pound stars in world boxing in the not too distant future.
He seems to have all the technical ability and skills to make this lofty prediction become a reality and last night in New York, he put in one of his most impressive performances to date.
Spence (21-0-18KO) competing against the ultra durable Leonard Bundhu, did something that not many do to the hard man from Sierra Leone, he stopped him.
He became the first man to stop Bundhu in his professional career, a feat Spence’s 147lbs American rival and champion Keith Thurman couldn’t do back in 2014.
Many had predicted that it would take longer in the fight for Spence to get the job done, but it was the sixth round that proved to be the end for Bundhu, as Spence now edges very close to a world title shot:
