Anthony Joshua and Paddy Barnes Square Up in Rio

Anthony Joshua and Paddy Barnes facing off, eh? Possibly one of the biggest weight differences ever caught on camera between two boxers.

Irish bantamweight Paddy Barnes may have had struggled with his own weight at this year’s Rio Olympics, which consequently caused him to under perform and exit the tournament early, but his trademark wit and rogue has not left him as people begin to exit the Olympic village for another four years.

He’s been on the hunt for as much banter as he could get this year in Brazil and this hilarious picture with current IBF heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua is one of his finer bits of work (outside of his recent Rory McIlroy taunts):

Reckon I could take him like…..@anthonyfjoshua

Not satisfied with the original pic though, he took it upon himself to do a little bit of tinkering in photoshop to level the playing field with this Anthony Joshua and Paddy Barnes altered snap, even making time to take a dig at former cyclist Lance Armstrong:

Met @lancearmstrong and came back for another picture with @anthonyfjoshua

Paddy, we salute you.

As for Joshua, the IBF champion now returns back to the UK to get ready for his next defence of his title against (as of yet) a to be named opponent.

Leading contenders for his next fight so far appear to be the likes of Joseph Parker, Hughie Fury, David Price and Kubrat Pulev.
