Eubank Jr Stops O’Sullivan In War

Eubank Jr stops O’Sullivan in an incredible war that saw the Irishman compassionately pulled out by his corner at the end of the 7th round.

In a tentative first round Cork man Spike O’Sullivan came out with his hands low, and landed the pick of the punches with a left hand that looked like it shook Eubank Jr.

Things burst into life in an absolutely electric second round that saw Chris Eubank Jr badly rock O’Sullivan with tremendous uppercuts, only to be hit back by some big left hands from O’Sullivan.

The third round saw more of the same entertaining action catch fire, as O’Sullivan had an excellent three minutes where he landed some big bomb left hands, and looked as if he was dragging Eubank Jr into a slug fest.

The proceeding rounds continued in a similar vein in what developed into what could only be described as a street fight with rules.

After shipping some heavy, heavy bombs in the mid rounds, Spike’s corner pulled him out of the fight at the end of the seventh, giving Eubank Jr the win.

Eubank Jr now progresses to a shot at WBA middleweight champion Danny Jacobs.
