After a devastating TKO loss to Sebastian Fundora, Keith Thurman’s future is uncertain. Can the 37-year-old former champion rebuild or is his career over?
Keith Thurman is part of the declining PBC Boxing schedule by the declining Al Haymon.
They have no latest prospects or talent breaking through and have boxed old faded US names like Thurman and Spence to crushing defeats recently.
If he chooses to box on he can but he got bust up not long ago against Fundora in only last May just gone.
Some things to consider on this;

- At 37, he’s in “no man’s land” — too famous for undercards, not effective enough for headliners
- Sergio Mora advised him to “swallow his pride” and rebuild on undercards
- Insists “I’ll be back” but his “One Time” moniker now feels literal

- Now viewed as a “name” opponent to build rising stars
- Title path blocked by younger, taller fighters like Fundora, Jaron Ennis, Ortiz Jr.
- Potential fights are against hungry prospects — high risk, low reward
- The “Mora Route” — rebuilding on non-PPV slots — may be his only path
He has not boxed much in recent years either.
He lost to Manny Pacman back in July 2019 and really, he has been too inactive since then.
He had a couple of fights in the middle of that, victories against Mario Barrios and Brock Jarvis but that is it.
Just another PBC faded name from the past that got beat again recently, like them and Haymon, he is in rapid, terminal decline.
An entertaining boxer in his day from Florida, no doubt.
