Aaron Mckenna impressed in boxing on Saturday night in the Dublin in a solid points victory that had him capture a title.
He came out the victor by unanimous points decision over Etinosa Oliha.
The 27 year old Irish man performed well in the fight, some notes on technical areas Mckenna excelled in his victory on Paramount Boxing;
- Bullying physicality from the opening bell – used his size and strength to shove Oliha backward and win the ring-position battle
- Established a venomous jab from round three onward, using it to dictate range, disrupt Oliha’s entries, and set up heavier shots
- Won the inside exchanges with sharp uppercuts and clever head‑body combinations, outworking Oliha in the trenches
- Controlled the distance masterfully with timely clinches, smothering Oliha’s attacks whenever the Italian tried to gain momentum
- Maintained a relentless pace and work rate that overwhelmed his opponent, especially in the championship rounds
- Showed adaptability by fighting effectively on the back foot when Oliha pressed forward, never losing his punching accuracy
- Targeted the body relentlessly to drain Oliha’s energy, making the later rounds increasingly one‑sided
- Picked his shots with surgical precision, landing clean, accumulating damage rather than swinging wildly for a knockout
- Grew stronger as the fight deepened, producing his best work in rounds ten through twelve while Oliha faded
- Channelled the deafening Dublin crowd into disciplined, intelligent boxing – using the home energy as fuel without losing composure
He improved to 21-0-10KO in the victory in Dublin on Saturday night.
Technically he can improve but got much spot on per the above.
