Shakur Stevenson wants the big fights all of a sudden

Shakur Stevenson all of a sudden is looking for the biggest and best names in boxing on the surface level but is he really?

For now he announced new promotional arrangements in the US this week but how long that lasts for is anyone’s guess.

Shakur Stevenson has hopped from one promoter to another more than anyone in US boxing in recent years.

He was working with all the decling all promoters.

Bob Arum, then Hearn and briefly he was even with Lou Di Bella.

Literally now he is with a 4th promoter so who knows how long that will last.

Four promoters in his boxing career and he’s still only young, 29 years old, let that sink in.

To date the one really big name and scalp on his resume remains Teofimo Lopez whom he defeated well last time out.

Comprehsively out pointing him by easy wide UD points decision.

Now he is saying he only wants the big fights against the likes of Ryan Garcia, Devin Haney and others in boxing.

It certainly sounds good as a sound bite but let’s see how that pans out and who he opts to fight.

He appears to often make his opponents try to concede to unfair advantages and so on.

This is the concern at the moment with talks with American boxer Devin Haney.

In that he is trying to get him to sign up to some absurd rehydration clause or something.

For now, Newark’s Shakur Stevenson is currently 25-0-11 KO as a professional boxer.
