Things are not good anymore for Zuffa Boxing and the UFC after an alright start they are not looking good now.
Even in the beginning Dana White conceded they had much to work on at the beginning of the year.
For some reason things have really nose dived lately though.
For those new to boxing, here’s what we know:
- Zuffa Boxing events are mostly held at the small UFC Apex venue, drawing criticism for low production scale and lack of big-arena atmosphere.
- Fighter pay offers have been slammed as very low compared to traditional boxing promotions.
- Eddie Hearn criticized Zuffa Boxing heavily, saying he “couldn’t believe how bad the money was” for fighters after hearing specific offers.
- Hearn also called their in-house “Zuffa World Championship” the “cringiest s*** I’ve ever seen” and mocked the lack of real league vision.
- Hearn himself however and his stable have deterorirated massives and Hearn has gone to absolute oblivion himself all of a sudden in 2026 for some reason.
- If you compare Hearn’s stable to what he had ten years ago, it is nowhere near as strong anymore.
- This all while boxing gets stronger and returns to the masses as a sport daily in 2026.
- On Zuffa boxing, many cards feature mismatches or unproven fighters, leading to underwhelming main events and fan disappointment.
- Disruptive business practices have saw backlash the market and Zuffa are no longer seen as a disruptor, more a fringe player, with many new companies coming to boxing all the time now and in 2026 instead.
- UFC attendance and momentum have flattened in 2026 also, with some events showing year-over-year declines despite higher ticket prices. More MMA promotions and boxing promotions are starting all the time.
- Recent UFC cards have faced criticism for lacking star power and delivering lower-quality matchmaking.
- Zuffa Boxing’s model has sparked controversy over creating its own belts while clashing with traditional sanctioning bodies.
- People care less about boxing belts anymore, they only care about the fights and best fighters. That’s it.
- Overall hype has been muted, with fans and media viewing the launch as more corporate control than exciting boxing revival.
Zuffa Boxing is struggling to deliver the impact Dana White promised.
While the UFC faces signs of cooling consumer enthusiasm.
Who knows what will happen with them or UFC.
Paramount Plus can always show many other boxing promotions and content as well not just in America and worldwide later in 2026.
As new players and companies continue to enter the market all the time as boxing returns to the masses all the time.
