Talk about unprofessional both the headline fight and the co main event fighter have missed weight, Keyshawn Davis and Brian Norman.
Keyshawn Davis we said is a loose cannon and very unstable mentally in recent years.
He missed weight by over 3 pounds not long ago and he has struggled to sell tickets in his hometown of Norfolk in Virginia this week in the US as well.
He’s missed weight again a short time ago as has Brian Norman Jr, here’s what we know:
- Keyshawn Davis missed weight for the main event.
- He came in at 140.2 lbs, then 140.1 lbs on re-weigh (140 lb limit for super lightweight).
- He had 2 hours to cut the final 0.1 lb.
- This is his second recent weight miss after a much larger one last year.Brian Norman Jr. missed weight for the co-main event.
- He weighed 148.4 lbs, then 148.2 lbs on re-weigh (147 lb welterweight limit).
- He also had 2 hours to make the limit.
- Both missing as top two fights on the card looks bad and drew strong criticism for poor preparation.
This is not a good look for either and for the event in Virginia this weekend.
A State that seldom gets big events as well.
Boxing is flying at the moment and is returning to the masses but for the main event fighter to struggle to sell tickets and the show to do so, and his brothers and the co main event in Norman Jr to struggle to sell tickets, then miss weight, is abysmal stuff form them.
Atypical for how boxing is going — with shows selling out everywhere else worldwide.
Shocking stuff from Keyshawn Davis again.
