Errol Spence Wants Tim Tszyu Next But He’d Be A Big Underdog

Errol Spence Wants Tim Tszyu

American ‘Spence’ was called ‘The Truth’ but the truth is he is done at the highest level.

Errol Spence was once a welterweight world champion many years ago now. He used to overwhelm people with his power, strength and all round solid boxing game at 147 pounds back in the day.

But that was then and this was now.

The Texan has not fought in around 4 years or so in boxing.

The last time he fought he was massacred by Terence Crawford easily in a TKO victory that bloodied, battered and has since ended him in boxing.

He never fought since.

Before that as well he was in a near fatal car crash in a totalled Ferrari.

Then the Crawford dismantling after that.

He’s back training now and by all accounts wants a big fight this summer with Tim Tszyu.

Tim Tszyu had an outstanding victory only on Sunday in a shut out landslide points win for the Australian on the other hand.

He boxed well and was technically more then competent with the jab and other shots at times and is clearly motivated as well after tough battles with the likes of world champion Sebastian Fundora in recent years.

Freshness, lack of ring rust and the form book is with the Australian by far on this one.

Spence has shown glimpses of his old self in some training clips online so far but that is far from world title level live action in a professional boxing ring with a top contender.

Tszyu on the other hand is more than up to the mark and has been fighting near the highest level regularly on the flip side in recent years compared to Spence.

Spence remains somewhat of a name in America but many of the new fans to boxing in recent years in the US and from all around the world actually don’t know about him anymore.

He lost relevance from being away for so long and on the other hand, boxing is more relevant and doing better than ever as a sport than ever right now.

Some will think Spence might go into that fight and win it easy but if you look at that victory from Tszyu on Sunday, the reality is far different.

Errol Spence goes into that fight a big underdog if the fight gets made.
