What a win for the Pacquiaos and Filipinos worldwide — and boxing tonight.
People go on about the US, Mexico, the UK and Japan and then Puerto Rico as being the best countries for boxing champions.
In terms of most professional boxing champions ever produced and sure they have.
But the Filipinos are never far behind them in professional boxing (the highest level of the sport — pro boxing — not amateur boxing).
Tonight professional boxing saw a new Filipino star born again.
With a huge win for Manny Pacquiao’s son — Eman Pacquiao — who went 8-0-1 (5 KO) with a knockdown-filled (5 in total) rout of a 4th round TKO win.
In his post-fight interview — Eman said: “I was inspired by all of you, especially Jillian.”
Referring to the crowd support and actress Jillian Ward — who was ringside cheering him on.
The fight took place tonight at the Bohol Cultural Center in Tagbilaran City, Bohol, Philippines.
As the main supporting bout on the “Kumong Bol-anon XXIV” card promoted by PMI Bohol Boxing Promotions.
Alas, the event drew an adoring Boholano crowd (local Filipinos from Bohol and surrounding areas).
Filipinos unite tonight worldwide in a great night for boxing in the country and another great night for professional boxing in Asia and the East.
The expansion of professional boxing into the East continues at a furious rate.
Congrats Eman Bacosa Pacquiao.
