Some details are now known on Mayweather vs Pacman 2.
September 19th at the Sphere in Las Vegas live on world streaming titan and juggernaut, leader of the industry, Netflix, are known details.
But the promoter of the Filipino said in a call during the week with Fight Hype the fight should be at the welterweight limit.
That’s 147 pounds.
Not completely confirmed yet though but that is what is being leaned towards.
What’s more, he went on to say that the fight with either be over 10 or 12 three minute rounds.
Obviously a professional boxing match but if it were to say be for the Zuffa Boxing title, then you would imagine it will be a twelve round fight.
He wouldn’t disclose the split of the purse but confirmed both would make more than $50 million each at least from the fight.
Possibly a lot more than that in reality as it will like break all records on Netflix streaming platforms.
Netflix will be busy behind the scenes already right now getting their servers ready for the fight in September well in advance to account for this.
If for some reason the weight was not at 147 pounds you would have to think they’d do a catchweight of 150 pounds to give neither fighter an advantage.
More formal details will come shortly with a press conference and so on.
Same for Mayweather vs Mike Tyson soon which will be a boxing exhibition in Africa this April.
Something that will possibly break records for viewing around the world as well even though an exhibition given the names involved and size difference from a heavyweight (Tyson) to a welterweight (Mayweather).
As for Mayweather and Pacman, both have had great careers.
Time will tell who takes this rematch.
