Already Shakur Stevenson vs Teofimo Lopez is made for the end of this month January 31st.
The UFC (Zuffa Boxing’s) first card has been confirmed with Callum Walsh as the headliner for the event already on January 23rd.
Usyk is confirmed to be fighting Deontay Wilder in the coming months.
Ryan Garcia is confirmed to take on Mario Barrios for the WBC welterweight world title next up on February 21st next month.
The above is just some of the early confirmations but there will be many more shortly of course.
Expect more from Paramount in the US and the BBC in the UK, the latter should be doing one big event in professional boxing with BOXXER every month to start off with.
How has 2026 schedule started
The fact that most sports are still a bit asleep in January and the fact that boxing has gotten out of the blocks so fast with its schedule already is testament to the great place boxing is in now as a sport.
There are many changes and eggs being cracked right now happening in boxing and there will only be much more of that as the days go on in 2026.
At a higher pace and frequency in the industry with less and less garbage promoters and or snake oil salesmen involved, with more and more large corporations and large country governments seen how commercially viable and growing boxing is again.
Everything is changing right now in fact with game changing news that Meta as well, who own Instagram and Facebook and lead by Mark Zuckerberg, will also be involved in live streaming boxing this year.
Elon Musk and the X platform can absolutely do the same as well in boxing if they want, and in professional sport as well at some point.
It is all happening at the moment and the schedule is starting to take shape already but will chop and change in boxing with more added to it all the time every week this year.
