These days in boxing maybe two of the most current well known brother rivalries in boxing would possibly be the Inoue brothers in Japan.
Two champions and one of which is one of the best pound for pound boxers in the world and for us the best Japanese boxer that ever lived, Naoya ‘The Monster’ Inoue.
Brothers, siblings in boxing, have happened before though.
Maybe the most notable brother rivalries in boxing including the Klitschko brothers in the heavyweight division some years ago now.
Vitali Klitschko being the older of the two and the WBC heavyweight champion for some time, Wladimir the undisputed champion at one point and champion at other points.
The two never boxed however and they promised their mother many years ago they would not fight in the ring in a real professional bout.
They did however spar and train with one another frequently however and surely there was a healthy rivalry there for some time when they were both active professionals some years ago.
Wladimir Klitschko is now 49 and back in heavy sparring recently and many think he will come back to boxing now.
Other notable names include the Paul brothers in today’s times, although one is not really a professional boxer, Logan Paul just fought Floyd Mayweather in an exhibition in boxing a few years back but continues to be linked with a fight in the sport.
Jake Paul for now continues his professional boxing career and is currently a promoter at one of the leading promotional companies in the world in boxing already, MVP Promotions.
