Why Mayweather Rumors Of Being Broke In 2026

All of a sudden there is laughable articles and rumors at the start of 2026 about Floyd Mayweather being broke or going bankrupt.

This isn’t new in boxing of course or new for him or in fact a new phenomenon in the now dead and rapidly declining US legacy media brands — the old media in the US.

Mayweather is far from broke and is boxing’s most financially successful man ever in the sport’s history, in the ring and outside of it in his career afterwards.

He and his team have addressed this before but not much so on the latest garbage surfacing at the start of 2026.

Why Mayweather rumors of being broke

The answer is simple.

Jealousy from some declining and no longer relevant old and legacy media in America.

Mayweather, on the contrary, in recent years has made huge new investments in real Estate in places like New York and is doing better than ever — in reality.

Floyd Mayweather at the end of the day retired as a professional boxer with a perfect record of 50-0 and proved himself time and time again to be by far the best boxer in the world, pound for pound, of his particular time.

Before Terence Crawford came along after him.

Mayweather is being linked with a final pro fight comeback in 2026 against people like Manny Pacquiao in a huge rematch and also an exhibition against boxing legend like Mike Tyson.

Both will be huge events for the sport, if either happen, due to the names involved.
