The fight is now on between Teofimo Lopez and Shakur Stevenson in a quality bout for the early part of 2026 in what promises to be an outstanding fight for the entire sport of boxing.
What a scrap in store for not only fans in America but worldwide.
The build up is on already and is tremendous so far, some great stuff going on at the moment in boxing in terms of fights being made but this is one of the best fights that can be made in the entire sport at the moment.
Lopez looks very rattled however in the early head to heads and interviews so far, not his usual energetic and enthusiastic self, he looks very subdued, docile, lost, disinterested almost in what some of the stuff Stevenson.

This is totally out of character for Lopez who is usually full of energy and now he looks to be a shadow of his former self all of a sudden for same reason.
This has only happened very recently as well, very strange, very odd.
Advantage is definitely with Shakur Stevenson early on who is training very well and is always around the likes of pound for pound King Terence Crawford in sparring and training.
You would have to lean towards Stevenson at the moment with the mental edge at least as they come into Christmas soon during training.
Lopez again not what he once was, advantage Stevenson here.
Lopez even a short time ago on the X platform confirming he suddenly doesn’t have any sponsors or endorsements for the next fight with Stevenson.
