The Unshakeable Boxing Legend Freddie Roach

It is amazing after all these years that one of boxing’s most famed fighting sons and trainers is still going and going he is.

Not only is he one of the most well known, Hall of Famer Freddie Roach is simply one of the best boxing trainers that ever lived.

He has trained more world champions than most have forgotten and he is still training high level champion boxers today.

Recently women’s boxer Skye Nicolson of Australia walked through the door of his iconic ‘Wild Card’ boxing gym in Hollywood in California in the US.

Sure, California as a state as been in a nose dive towards rapid oblivion in recent years, but there are still some good people there and good boxing people and places like Freddie Roach and the Wild Card gym.

The fact he is still going as long as he is a credit to himself and America, particularly with Parkinson’s Disease after all these years.

The guy is one of the great stories in boxing and recently he did the impossible even again, yet again, by training the great Manny Pacquiao in his comeback fight with Mario Barrios for the WBC welterweight world title.

The fight ended in a draw but most thought Pacquiao deserved to get the win.

Pacquiao had returned to the Wild Card boxing gym where the success in America all began for him and Roach at the center of his genius once again.

Freddie Roach now trains new Irish boxing star Callum Walsh even.

The White House should look to get some award going for Roach at this stage, an American hero basically.
