When it comes to the marketing and sell of boxers it is not always a clear cut thing why some things work and some things don’t.
That happens with trial and error in any business or product, of which like anything in this world, of course professional boxing is.
Some fighters to some fans might have a boring safety first style yet have big followings because of something in their story or maybe their personality, it doesn’t have anything to do with their weight division.
Or maybe they come from a small country where they stand out more compared to a large population country where competition for eyeballs on sports stars is more intense.
Why Some Fighters Are Loved and Others Are Hated for the Exact Same Style
Sometimes as well they might have a bigger network or bigger promotional company pushing them online and in event, which, gets them more attention.
It is not always a love hate thing, it can come down to promotion and getting the exposure they need early on as well.
On the other hand, big knockout artists or blood and guts type warriors sell well quickly most of time, but again, not always.
If they don’t have a network deal or good promoter their wins can go under the radar for a while.
Thankfully this is changing now due to the flood of new promoters, governments, networks and companies coming to be awash in boxing in the time ahead.
Expansion into new markets for boxing is inevitable and is happening already.
