A Boxer Who Made The Move To Training Fighters Better Than Most

A Boxer Who Made The Move To Training Fighters Better Than Most

There is very few fighters in boxing, certainly world champions, that make the move from fighter to high level coach very successfully.

There are rare exceptions to this however.

Former WBO middleweight champion and knockout artist Andy Lee is one of them.

In recent years he’s trained the likes of Joseph Parker the former WBO heavyweight champion to great new heights and helped develop him into an even more lethal fighting machine.

He’s worked with others as well to great success in pro boxing but maybe its the mentality of Lee that has allowed him to do this.

As well as his technical expertise and knowledge in the sweet science.

Fighters get on with him and he comes across as a very calm, but precise individual in his training.

When he has that rapport with the boxers, like he has, you can see how his fighters have been doing in recent times.

How they have been doing so well that is.

For any former world champion and retired pro boxer looking at getting into training actual professional boxers, maybe Andy Lee is one of the best instances in recent times where it really works out.

Sure, Joseph Parker had a loss at heavyweight recently against Fabio Wardley, but that happens.

That doesn’t stop Lee being one of the best trainers in the game today.

His fighters noticeably to all seem to be punching much harder under him.

They really are knocking out people lately.

Lee’s technical acumen and man management style of boxing training must get appropriate praise and credit for this.

Andy Lee describes himself on social media in simple terms.

‘Irish Knockout Artist.’

It has had the intended effect on his fighters.

Happy Thanksgiving Day today to everyone in the United States of America.

God bless America.
