They key thing is that they may not try to take over the entire sport of boxing in terms of like the UFC almost did in MMA, as by far being the number one organization in MMA.
Maybe Zuffa Boxing will just look to become the best promoter and organization in boxing and likely will work with some, maybe not all, select managers and promoters whom they like or who’s fighters match well with theirs.
The key thing is there boxers maybe under TKO and Zuffa will still be able to do things like get their own sponsors and so on, as it isn’t clear if TKO
will be a league or a promotion with better production values than all the rest.
Whom put on the best fights.
Where TKO And Zuffa Boxing May Differentiate From The UFC In Its Boxing Offering
Dana White said a while back he wanted to create something similar to a HBO of boxing again and now with him and Turki Alalshikh creating TKO, that looks to be becoming more and more a little like that, but different.
For instance Max Kellerman of HBO now commentates for TKO events and did an excellent job on the recent bit Canelo Alvarez vs Terence Crawford super fight.
But TKO is going much further and will disrupt the entire industry, bringing the Muhammad Ali act up to date and disrupting everything, of course a few eggs behind the scenes will have to be cracked to make this happen.
Maybe more than a few.
Out with the old and in with the new.
The more quality promoters and networks in boxing that better the health for the sport and for the fans, seeing more of the best boxers fight one another on a more regular basis.
There’s some things the UFC can only do for boxers as well that no one else can.
