Anthony Joshua Promoter Makes Surprising Claim About Jake Paul Fight

Anthony Joshua is still in talks for his next fight and comeback to the sport following a knockout defeat to Daniel Dubois in 2024.

The bout has seen Joshua sit out boxing for a while and also come back from some surgeries which he underwent.

Now attention turns to his comeback and it turns out the Jake Paul fight was under, and is still under, serious discussion.

Anthony Joshua Promoter Makes Surprising Claim About Jake Paul Fight

Joshua’s promoter Eddie Hearn surprisingly maybe to many said earlier to IFL TV that the fight is a dangerous one for Joshua:

“On Joshua, nothing’s changed. He won’t fight this year. Likely internationally early 2026. Last time I thought Paul was next but I’m reluctant post-Davis. If Paul gets beat up it’s risky. His last fight was against Dubois, a loss, but he won’t fight till ready. It’s a warm-up for a big summer gamble. Every fight’s dangerous, even Paul.”

In heavyweight all it takes is one punch but surely if Joshua trains he would be able to go through Jake Paul in a round.

Jake Paul next fights Gervonta Davis in a boxing match on November 14th with official rules to be confirmed shortly.
