Tony Bellew On Why Moses Itauma Is Victim Of His Own Success

Tony Bellew as the former light-heavyweight champion of the world knows a lot about success at the highest level of professional boxing.

Since retiring from being an active fighter Bellew has stayed involved in the sport as a pundit.

The new big star young heavyweight on the block is one Moses Itauma.

The 20-year-old phenom from the UK.

Tony Bellew On Why Moses Itauma Is Victim Of His Own Success

Bellew said in some regards he is a victim of his own success, saying to Sporting Talk:

“All fighters tire at some points, you have ups and downs. Twos and pros. And Moses is going to have to experience that to understand that. At the moment he’s had it all his own way and if anything, he’s a victim of his own success.”

Moses like all fighters will be tested in a live bout like that but as long as he is being tested in the gym with dangerous sparring, and not over sparring, he will keep developing.

Itauma’s mentality should be to never lose.

Very few have done that in boxing history at the highest but some have.

There’s no reason why Itauma cannot use a similar mentality.

Itauma is linked with a Croatian opponent next up, let’s see what happens.
