Canelo Alvarez has brought in heavy hitters like Terence Crawford for his major fight shortly on Netflix in Las Vegas on September 13th.
It is a fight that has captured the public’s imagination largely due to ‘Bud’ Crawford jumping up an entire two weight divisions in the contest.
Something never attempted by a welterweight champion in history successfully.
Canelo Sparring Concerns Ahead Of Crawford Fight
Canelo shared that he brought in world champion Jaron ‘Boots’ Ennis for sparring for the fight but not many have picked up on the black eye he appears to have from the spar here:
His left eye when zoomed in above does appear to have heavy swelling and a black eye to it.
Ennis is also considered one of the best fighters in the world himself.
He isn’t just a sparring partner but this has lead some to mention has Alvarez slipped slightly in his training.
Of course Crawford at the same time has brought in Shakur Stevenson for his sparring as well.
So both will be battle ready after this training at the moment.
