Speaking to Andre Ward on his show ‘All The Smoke Fight’ he said his manager on a vacation only in California introduced him to legendary boxing trainer Freddie Roach:
“I remember my manager talking to Freddie, asking, “Freddie, can you do a meet-and-greet with my boxer? Could you do a couple of rounds with him?” And Freddie said, “Yeah, sure, sure, I can do that.”
