Chris Eubank Jr’s promoter has remarkably claimed he was about to punch boxer Conor Benn.
Recently Benn charged at Eubank Jr’s promoter Benn Shalom on a soccer pitch in the build-up to their fight.
Speaking on Carl Froch’s podcast Shalom said of the recent charging on the pitch by Conor Benn at him
“Honestly I swear not at all (was I afraid). Look at Eddie’s reaction versus mine. I did look chilled. I’ve got to be honest. I think I stuck my hand out. Which you’d do. Took a step back and was going to crack him.”
He added:
“Yeah Eddie turned around like the guy in the playground he always is. Starts pointing and laughing. Anyway it was funny. I enjoyed it. I actually like Conor Benn. I think he’s great. He’s the perfect guy to build such a big fight.”
April 26th is the date for the fight next month and what a fight it promises to be.
