Let’s consider whether Jared Anderson‘s technical development and ring IQ are ready for the heavyweight division’s elite veterans.
He used to be the next big thing in American heavys, until Martin Bakole smashed him up that is.
But that is just one fight, things can happen in the heavys, just one punch at the end of the day is all it takes.

- He has competed on major stages including Madison Square Garden and MGM Grand
- His first professional setback came against Martin Bakole, exposing gaps in his defensive awareness
- Anderson rebounded with a decision win over Marios Kollias, showing resilience
- He has partnered with the University of Toledo in a first-of-its-kind agreement for an active heavyweight
- At 26, Anderson is still developing and has time to refine his craft before challenging elite opponents
- His jab and footwork are considered advanced for a heavyweight his size
- Questions remain about his chin and ability to take a heavyweight’s best punch
- Bakole exposed boxer Jared Anderson‘s tendency to back straight up when pressured
- Anderson needs fights against durable veterans to test whether his ring maturity matches his physical tools
So, since his defeat to Bakole by knockout a couple of years ago he had that one bounce back victory and fight since above, last year.
But no fights at all this year means he is too inactive and to be shelved that long for a big prospect in the US, is absurd.
Especially in a great time for the sport again in the US and internationally.
He needs to fight and fights are there for him immediately should he prove to have interest in them.
