Teofimo Lopez took a lie detector test ahead of the Rolly Romero fight and begged the examiner to ask if he’s racist. The results revealed more about his ego, his lies, and his desperate need for approval than any racial confession ever could.
It also illustrates his truly fragile mind and in particular, frail mentality ahead of one of the biggest fights of his life on Saturday night in Vegas.
Let’s analyze his lie detector test for a second, some notes on it;
- He begged to be asked “Am I racist?” – examiner refused because polygraphs can’t measure emotions
- He lied about liking Rolly Romero – machine caught it, he had to correct himself
- Admitted being more nervous about the test than the actual fight
- Claimed he never sent Keyshawn Davis the fruit basket – but it was never formally tested
- Brought up Hagler’s fake handshake story to justify his own offensive “promotion”
- Wanted to clear up how his comments “came across” – not apologize for what he said
- The only real lie detected was about liking Rolly – exposed his dishonesty on small stuff
- Genuinely believed he’d pass – supreme overconfidence on full display
- Tried to steer the test toward his own agenda instead of letting the examiner work
- Still doesn’t get why people are offended – demanded a polygraph to “prove” innocence instead of owning his words
Again, this had been just a bit of hype for the fight more than anything on Saturday but it proved his fragile mind is still as fragile as ever.
The madness of Teofimo Lopez is real and he is in a crazy bad place mentally after coming off the Shakur Stevenson defeat this year.
Rolly Romero must be laughing his head off at Lopez behind the scenes, he has some advantages coming into this.
