After stopping American DeAndre Savage in two rounds, Australian heavyweight Teremoana Teremoana (12-0, 12 KOs) has options.
He impressed again in boxing today in tremendous knockout fashion, a second round knockout against Deandre Savage moments ago.
Some possible opponents for him next;
- Justis Huni (Australia) – The domestic showdown Teremoana wants most; they split amateur fights and it would “fill stadiums” in Australia .
- Moses Itauma (UK) – The 21-year-old British prospect Teremoana has explicitly named as a target .
- Filip Hrgovic (Croatia) – A seasoned contender on Teremoana’s radar .
- Daniel Dubois (UK) – Current heavyweight contender Teremoana has called out .
- Frank Sanchez (Cuba/US) – The Cuban-American contender is a No. 1 contender and would be a massive step up — he recently knocked out American prospect Richard Torrez Jr. .
- Richard Torrez Jr. (USA) – The Olympic silver medalist and former unbeaten American hope, now rebuilding after his knockout loss to Sanchez .
- Jared Anderson (USA) – Another former “Great American Hope” who has suffered recent setbacks but remains a recognizable name .
- Deontay Wilder (USA) – The former champion and biggest American name in the division, though he is 3-4 in his last seven fights .
- Oleksandr Usyk (Ukraine) – The reigning lineal champion and ultimate test, though several fights away .
- Agit Kabayel (Germany) – Avoided fighter, Teremoana has mentioned him as a target .
There are names above but there are other prospects and contenders coming through also.
He has the punch, that is certain, can he handle the pace at the highest level of the heavies in pro boxing, though.
Let us see.
