The Irishman did not look at his best and got hurt again on Saturday in his latest fight.
He has been hurt many times already but these can be good lessons for him if he uses them.
Some opponents and options next for Callum Walsh;
- Shane Mosley Jr. – called Walsh out and is the fight Walsh has already asked for before year’s end
- Aaron McKenna – Walsh would take this fight and Aaron won a world title and wants it; he sees it as the only all-Irish clash that makes sense
- Middleweight champions – Walsh is targeting world title opportunities at middleweight rather than domestic-level fights
- Anyone Zuffa puts in front of him – Walsh has made it clear he’ll fight whoever the promotion wants, keeping his options open
- Stephen McKenna – not interested; Walsh believes it makes no sense without a world title on the line and views Shane Mosley Jr. as a bigger fight
He has had some scares in his pro career to date and can come through this again.
He needs to tighten up the defense immediately, very important.
