A pattern has emerged in American boxer Shakur Stevenson randomly calling out fights and calling for certain fights.
Stevenson had been saying all of a sudden he is interested in the Devin Haney fight again at 144 pounds.
But in a balanced look at this in him, how is he going from that to also saying he is interested in taking on the victor of Lamont Roach vs Zepeda.

See the pattern here in Shakur Stevenson, most do. Some notes on this at this point;
- Claims Haney is his #1 target – but keeps talking about someone else.
- Demands Haney at 144 lbs – a weight Haney has never fought at.
- Also wants the Roach–Zepeda winner – that’s a completely different weight.
- He’s floating between 135 and 144 – no clear division.
- He already beat Zepeda – so that rematch is the softer route.
- Roach is willing – making that fight easier to make than Haney.
- Haney has no reason to drop to 144 – Shakur is asking for a big concession.
- He’s calling out two guys at once – can’t fight both next.
- Promoter ties could help Haney happen – but only if Haney bends.
- He’s clearly negotiating in public – saying everything to see what sticks.
If he was dead serious also he would not be doing so much of this talk in public and on social media, in fairness.
There is no sense to just randomly saying he wants this fight and that fight and then when it comes time to sign, as Bill Haney said, he goes missing.
American boxer Devin Haney clearly had interest in the fight.
