Emanuel Navarrete and O’Shaquie Foster fight in play

All of a sudden boxing fans might get a quality fight on their hands in the form of Emanuel Navarrete and O’Shaquie Foster.

Foster had a very solid win recently over Ray Ford in the super featherweight divison and showed he belongs at world level in professional boxing.

He had called out Newark’s Shakur Stevenson afterwards but that bout might be a bit too much for him at this point.

A unification fight with Emanuel Navarrete however might be just what the doctor ordered.

Both for him and boxing spectators in America and worldwide.

American Foster and Mexican Navarrete some are suggesting are in advanced talks to have a unification bout in the super featherweight division.

Nothing confirmed, no date, no venue but if it gets over the line, a very solid fight.

31-year-old Mexican Navarrete has a professional boxing record of 40-2-1-33 KO.

32-year-old O’Shaquie Foster of Texas, USA has a professional boxing record of 25-3-12 KO.

Both can have entertaining styles at times but maybe Foster is slightly more of the boxer type.

With Navarrete more of a come forward aggressive fighter mostly, a typical Mexican with a solid left hook and educated pressure when he uses it well.

He can box a bit too though and mixes up his body and head attacks well.

The Navarrete jab can be a damaging one and he can move in and out of distance well when setting up his attacks with it at times.

Both have old titles from the old defunct belt companies but this is not about the belts or a unification at all.

It is just an entertaining fight and the belts have nothing to do with it at all.

The boxers know that and know it is just about the fights these days in boxing and credit to them for trying to make this bout.

His uppercuts can be excellent when they connect. He had some great success over Oscar Valdez with them a couple of years back.

Same with his short right hook on the inside as well, that hurt Valdez, a former world champion, at times in their fight in recent years as well.

Basically both he and American Foster are two of the division’s best.

This is a fight that spectators of boxing both in the US and Mexico are looking forward to and is a fight for the lineal championship at super-featherweight.

No one pays attention to the old belts anymore but the winner of this fight can call himself the true super-featherweight champion of the world.

The lineal champion at super-featherweight is the simple term for that.

Let’s see if they confirm it shortly.
