Jake Paul mocks Conor McGregor after Max Holloway defeat but Paul was brutally knocked out by Anthony Joshua

Jake Paul has had a go at Conor McGregor after his crippling defeat in his MMA comeback but Jake Paul had a bad boxing match recently.

Some are suggesting that Jake Paul and Conor McGregor might actually compete in boxing possibly next up.

Some things to note on Jake Paul putting the boot in on McGregor:

  • Jake Paul mocked Conor McGregor for a fight-ending injury, but Paul himself was knocked out cold by Anthony Joshua.
  • He was brutally knocked out in the sixth round by a right hand to the chin.
  • The knockout left Paul with a broken jaw in two places.
  • He was dropped multiple times in the same fight before the final knockout.
  • Paul’s own game plan that night was to run away and avoid getting hit.
  • The referee even warned both fighters because Paul’s tactics were making a mockery of boxing.
  • He was fighting a much bigger, stronger, and more experienced heavyweight champion.
  • Paul claimed he could “shock the world” but instead got badly hurt and stopped.
  • Fans pointed out the hypocrisy, noting Paul was laughing at someone for getting hurt when that was him just months earlier.
  • Mocking another fighter’s injury is a risky move when you were recently the one laid out on the canvas.

Alas, it is easy for Jake Paul to do that but not long ago he had been battered by Joshua.

And in hospital too.

All in all, Conor McGregor does look done though.

It is debatable if he’ll try to step back in a pro boxing ring at this point.
