Oscar De La Hoya once again is all over the place and is making some big claims on fights he is trying to make.
Earlier he had a wig on one of his weekly social media episodes.
Like that of one of the Brady characters from the Brady Bunch series back in the 1960’s.
He claims he is working on the Ryan Garcia vs Conor Benn and Vergil Ortiz vs Jaron Ennis fights.
That is good news for boxing fans if true but the latter fight has fallen through from him so many times now it is absurd.
There appears to be a way to make the fight but it surely is because of the boxers and not because of De La Hoya.
A former champion who looks to be trying to take credit whereas really what is happening is the two fighters want to make the bout.
Some people have been calling Oscar De La Hoya a bit of a nut and have expressed concerns over the week this week.
De La Hoya was once a six-weight world champion in boxing and won over 10 titles in those weight classes.
His professional boxing record was (39-6-0) — with 30 knockouts within that.
However the above wig photo is where he is at now.
Let’s see if the fights happen or not.
It will be interesting to see Ryan Garcia and Vergil Ortiz’ comments soon about the bouts and De La Hoya’s alleged role in them.
Both have expressed negative sentiment with De La Hoya previously.
The fight would surely happen between the two American boxers around the 154 pounds limit or somewhere close to that.
If it happens.
